Today marks an exciting new chapter for me and my family as we officially introduce Fairfield ID Solutions.
Starting a new business is never a small decision. It takes courage, commitment and, perhaps most importantly, the support of the people around you. For us, Fairfield ID Solutions is about much more than selling ID cards, printers and access control products. It is about building something we can be proud of, creating lasting relationships with our customers and providing the level of personal service that we believe businesses deserve.
And, most importantly, it is about building a future for our family.
Why Fairfield ID Solutions?
My career over the last 15+ years has been spent working within the ID and access industry, gaining experience across identification, card printing, access control and the technology that sits behind it all.
Over the years, I have seen how quickly technology changes and how easy it can be for customers to feel like just another order number. I wanted to do things differently.
That is where Fairfield ID Solutions was born.
I wanted to create a business that combines industry experience with a genuinely personal approach. A business where customers can pick up the phone, speak to someone who understands what they need and receive honest, straightforward advice rather than being pushed towards something they don't necessarily require.
Whether you need a complete ID card system, a card printer, cards and consumables, card holders and lanyards, access control solutions or simply some advice about the best way to manage identification within your organisation, our aim is to make the process as simple as possible.
Why the name Fairfield?
The name Fairfield is incredibly important to me because it represents family, home, sustainability and the foundations on which this business has been built.
I didn't want to choose a name simply because it sounded corporate or because it was something that might look good on a website. I wanted Fairfield to have meaning.
For me, Fairfield represents the place, people and values that matter most. It is a reminder that behind every business are real people, real families and real stories.
So when you deal with Fairfield ID Solutions, you aren't dealing with a faceless organisation.
You're dealing with a family business.
And what about the colours?
Even the colours in the Fairfield ID Solutions logo have a meaning behind them.
The colours in the design were created using my daughters' favourite colours. Let's be honest, they are the bosses in this business!
The colours are intended to give Fairfield a modern and confident identity while still retaining a sense of warmth and approachability. That balance is important to us because although the products and technology we work with are sophisticated, our approach to customers is deliberately simple:

We want our brand to reflect the kind of business we are trying to build – professional enough to trust, but personal enough to care.

Why start now?
The decision to start Fairfield ID Solutions has come at a very important point in our family's life.
There have been moments over the last year when work, business and careers have been put into perspective. It has reminded me just how important family is, how quickly life can change and how valuable it is to build something that genuinely means something to you.
Fairfield ID Solutions is part of that new chapter.
It gives me the opportunity to take the experience I have built up over many years and put it into something of my own – while creating a business that my family can be proud of.
It won't always be easy. Building a new business never is.
But I am incredibly excited about what the future holds.

Our promise is simple: we will work hard, we will be honest, we will use our experience to give you the right advice and we will always remember that there are real people behind every order.
As a new business, margins will be tight and profit will be limited, but our plan is to allocate some of our profits to children’s hospitals and children’s hospital charities that have supported us over the last 12 months.
So when you buy from us, not only are you helping my family, but you are also helping other families.
For that, we can't thank you enough.
